Snow Guards
Snow guards are designed to slow the snow slide off the eave to protect doorways, shrubs, and driveways.
Snow Guards

Designed to slow the snowslide off the eave side of a steel roof, snow guards protect doorways, driveways, and shrubs from large amounts of snow sliding off the roof like an avalanche onto whatever or whoever is beneath.

House of Steel stocks several styles of snow guards. Shown installed at right, the acrylic snow guard measures just over 5" inches long and 2" wide.

Installation
For optimum performance, snow guards should be installed at 2 and 4 foot staggered intervals beginning 2 foot up from the eave, between the high ribs. Roof pitch and length of steel run also are factors in determining snow guard positioning.
